It is seen that diabetes is rising more rapidly in low- and middle-income countries more than in high income countries.
Symptoms
The usual symptom of diabetes mostly occurs suddenly. In type 2 diabetes, the symptoms can be mild, and it may take many years to be noticed.
Some symptoms of diabetes may include
- feeling too much thirsty
- need to urinate more often
- feeling tired
- losing or gaining weight
- blurred vision
Over the time, diabetes can be very harmful for human health, it can damage blood vessels in the heart, eyes, kidneys and nerves which than can lead to some serious issues in the body. The people suffering from diabetes have a higher risk of health problems including heart attack, stroke and kidney failure. Not only this diabetes can even cause permanent vision loss by damaging blood the vessels of the eyes. It is seen that many people suffering from diabetes can develop problems with their feet from nerve damage and poor blood flow. This can cause foot ulcers and may lead to amputation.
